Cheddar originated in the village of Cheddar, England and is now the most popular selling cheese in the world. A firm, cow’s milk cheese that ranges in flavor from mild to extra sharp. Orange cheddars are colored with annatto, a natural dye, but we leave out the dye to produce our creamy white cheddar. As cheddar slowly ages, it loses moisture and its texture becomes drier and more crumbly as the flavor intensifies.

We began making Cheddar in March of 2001.
