Maasdammer is a semi-hard cheese in the swiss family of cheeses, but is sweeter and creamier than a traditional swiss cheese.  Maasdammer originated in the town of Maasdam in Holland as an alternative to the more expensive Emmentaler.

Maasdammer has a sweet buttery, nutty taste with a fruity background and is lovely in casseroles, fondue, and sandwiches.  It is also a perfect pairing with fruit.

Our Maasdammer won third place at the 2016 American Cheese Society competition.
